JM chose the accounting field because mathematics was his strength, and he thought it was all about numbers, but he quickly realized it was not. It’s just 10% mathematics and 90% pure analysis. He found his love for accounting when he was in his third year of college, considering that he passed two consecutive qualifying exams at his school.

JM is a double degree holder and graduated with a bachelor of science in accounting technology in 2019. He then decided to pursue an accountancy degree because he wanted to become a Certified Public Accountant and bring pride to his family.

What do you like about accounting?

Accounting is very beneficial to me, especially in my daily life, wherein I learn how to manage my finances in terms of financial aspects and make good decisions.

What do you like about working at Accounting for Jewelers?

Working at Accounting for Jewelers helps me to improve my communication skills and gain more confidence. I love the good working environment and the strong support system of the team. I am also looking forward to continuous learning and expanding my skills and capabilities with the company's help.

What do you like about Xero, or working in the cloud?

Xero is user-friendly. It is easy to use and has been designed with the user experience in mind which is very useful for businesses. While it can take some time to get used to at first, there are online courses available that can help you introduce Xero so you can make the most of this cloud accounting software.

What's your favorite piece of jewelry that you own, and why?

I'm not used to wearing jewelry, but my girl best friend in Dubai and I are planning to buy a ring to symbolize our nine years of friendship, and I think that's my favorite piece of jewelry because it will bring me a lot of memories and experiences that we went through together.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

Well, I usually go out with my friends and work out at home. I love going to beaches and taking photos and videos for my Instagram feed.
